According to the official post made earlier today on the Nvidia blog, this brand spanking new ‘R300′ release comes jam-packed with a plethora of handy features that’ll surely appeal to those looking to squeeze out every last ounce of performance that their Nvidia-based graphics cards have to offer. Although, amongst the really quite lengthy changelog, perhaps out most favourite features to proudly trumpet their way into the latest driver release would be:

• Boosts performance in several top PC games by up to 23 percent with a single GPU (tested on The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim) and by up to 23 percent with SLI (tested on Just Cause 2), when compared with the R295 drivers.
• Enables NVIDIA Adaptive VSync, which provides a smoother gaming experience by dynamically enabling and disabling vertical sync based on your current frame rate.
• Enables NVIDIA Frame Rate Target in third-party applications, like EVGA Precision X, for automatic and dynamic adjustment of frame rate to a user-specified target.
• Adds NVIDIA FXAA technology to the NVIDIA Control Panel, enabling ultra-fast anti-aliasing (up to 60 percent faster than MSAA).

However, there is one tiny, really quite reasonable stipulation imposed with such a lovely gesture: fans will need to collectively rack up a grand total of 10,000 unique “Likes” on the Tan’s own Facebook post in order to provide enough incentive for Razer to move forward with the idea. There is a slight time restriction imposed upon the event, also, with the community being required to hit 10,000 total Likes milestone before April 21, 2012.

The count currently stands at a hugely impressive 8,500 Likes thus far, with a terrific amount of time left for fans left to submit their digital signature and help reach the appointed figure.

Tan insists that, should the community reach such a high figure, it will take Razer “at least a year” from when the company begins the planning stages of manufacturing the peripheral before it’ll be ready for purchasing, so we’ll need to exercise a little patience.
