Showcased for you here is a juicy 5 minute-long excerpt from RAGE showing a mission involving getting into the Shrouded clan’s bunker and destroying caches of bombs. Because you don’t want to be around when things are exploding, do you? We begin with some rather slick driving gameplay which also includes driving straight into turrets to stop them firing at you. But the real fun comes once you enter the bunker of the Shrouded. Naturally you’re going to be faced with a little resistance when it comes to invading someone else’s turf but in RAGE you don’t even have to worry about it too much. Why? Because RAGE has toys – beautiful, deadly toys.

Murderous spider turrets, anyone? Set it off and watch it run around shooting the crap out of those slow enough to be left behind as you blast your way through the bunker. This thing can even jump so not even obstacles are, um, obstacles to this little gadget. Just be grateful it’s on your side. Then you’ve got a regular but deadly-accurate sentry turret you can drop in position to take out the bad guys whilst you strafe and pick off those who get out of its range. But do you know what’s really cool? When you combine the skills of the sentry turret, the spider thing and an explosive remote control vehicle – put this lot together and those Shrouded don’t stand a chance…
