Up until Mass Effect 3, the series has primarily relied upon dishing out a corking, single-player, galaxy-spanning storyline with which for sci-fi fans to sink their teeth into. It’s been astronomically fun, you could say, but the lack of any semblance of multiplayer content must have disappointed at least one or two fans. Thankfully, with this second sequel, budding armchair Spectres will be granted the chance to dive into some really quite thrilling multiplayer mayhem in the guise of “Special Forces”, a gameplay mode which will feature all manner of interstellar and interracial carnage.
Give the new two minute gameplay trailer a looking over, it paints a pretty decent picture as to what you can expect from the online component of the game.
Mass Effect 3 is due out in March, by the way.
